A sports gymnast who won a bronze medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games in the jumping event. The first Polish gymnast to have a gymnastic element named after him. Recorded under No. 332 by the International Gymnastics Federation, the jump-toss, a double forward flip in a broken position, was given the name "blanik". Gold medalist at the "Beijing 2008" Olympic Games in the jumping event (he won the medal on August 18). He won by beating a Frenchman and a Russian, thus becoming the first Olympic Champion in the history of Polish gymnastics.In jumping he also won three medals of the World Championships and three medals of the European Championships, as well as a silver medal of the Goodwill Games in 2001.
