Daniel Olbrychski

The undisputed king of Polish cinema. He played unforgettable roles, which are a dream for every actor. Five films in which he played were nominated for an Oscar. He debuted on screen in 1964 while still a student.

In 1966 Daniel Olbrychski played in Julian Dziedzin's film "The Boxer". Leszek Drogosz, one of the most outstanding boxers in the history of Polish sport, the favourite of the legendary trainer and the patron of the Olympic Preparations Centre "CETNIEWO", was persuaded to take part in the film. The scenes for the film were shot in OPO "CETNIEWO" where Tolek Szczepaniak (Daniel Olbrychski) under the watchful eye of his trainer Jarek Walczak (Leszek Drogosz) was pouring out his last sweat in the ring and getting in Olympic shape.

Now 66 years old, the actor is in a very good physical condition and boxing helps him to maintain it. Daniel Olbrychski has impressed more than once in the past with his fitness and despite the passing years he is still very fit. He has been training boxing for a long time and thanks to systematic movement he manages to stay in shape and enjoy good health.
